Flat cleaning
Cleaning doors, handles and switches thoroughly
Doors are used every day and rarely cleaned. Fingerprints around the handle, dust on the top edge and grey patches on the frame become obvious at a flat handover at the latest.
The touch points
Door handles, light switches and the area around the handle are among the most frequently touched spots in a home. They are wiped at every thorough clean, and in offices and practices at every visit.
In the kitchen and hallway especially, a light film of grease forms in these spots and binds dust. A mild all-purpose cleaner removes it reliably.
Door leaf and frame
Both sides of the door, its edges and the frame are cleaned. Most dust sits on the top edge of the door and the upper part of the frame, where you do not see it day to day.
Glass panels are cleaned streak-free like windows. For the flat’s front door, the outside facing the stairwell is included too.
- Both sides of the door leaf
- Door edges and top edge
- Frame all round
- Handles, roses and escutcheons
- Glass panels and light switches
Protecting the material
Painted doors and foil-coated surfaces cannot take scouring products or abrasive sponges. A soft cloth with lukewarm water and a little cleaner is almost always enough.
Chipped paint, scratches or a sticking door cannot be fixed by cleaning. Such spots are noted separately for a repair.
